Jolla’s Sailfish OS Gets Russian Certification

Jolla, the Finland-based company behind Sailfish OS, recently announced that its mobile operating system has received domestic certification in Russia. The certification essentially allows Sailfish OS to be installed on government and corporate devices.

The latest version of the Android mobile operating system - Android Marshmallow - has yet to make its mark in terms of device market share, but Google is already developing its successor, the Android N. The latest preview of the Android N incluldes the Night Mode feature which was pulled out of Android Marshmallow at the last minute.
Mozilla Sets Date for Firefox OS Shut Down

Mozilla announced in December 2015 that it will discontinue the development of its Firefox OS. On Feb 4, the tech company announced the schedule of when it plans to finally pull the plug on its mobile operating platform.
