Pelicans Sign Kendrick Perkins to Mentor Anthony Davis, Play Backup Center

The New Orleans Pelicans signed veteran Kendrick Perkins to serve as mentor to star forward Anthony Davis and as reserve center behind 7-foot starter Omer Asik, according to ESPN. The 6'10" center signed a one-year deal for the veterans minimum on Tuesday.
