Tesla Recalls 7,000 Charging Adapters Due to Overheating

Electric car manufacturer Tesla recently announced that it is voluntarily recalling about 7,000 adapters used for charging the company's electric cars after it received two reports of overheating that caused some plastic components to melt.

Kia Motors' 2014 Forte sedan's cooling fan resistor has a tendency to overheat and melt, risking burning the vehicle and possibly its riders. There have been several units that had engine fires possibly due to the faulty resistor, although no injuries of accidents were reported.
