French Open 2015: Serena Williams Still On Track of Calendar Slam, Advances to French Open QF

It was the third consecutive game of the tournament where World No. 1 Serena Williams had to persevere and pull through from a first set deficit to stave off elimination. Williams’ compatriot, World No. 42 Sloane Stephens, was unsuccessful in pulling off what could have been the upset of the tournament, and eventually folded to the two-time French Open champion, 6-1, 5-7, 3-6.

The 2014 FIBA World Cup is heading into the quarterfinals on Tuesday where only two teams, USA and Spain, remain undefeated with a 6-0 record so far in the tournament. Many basketball fans are already expecting a USA-Spain showdown for the gold medal.
