Alibaba founder Jack Ma has been appointed as a special advisor to the United Nations (UN) Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) for Youth Entrepreneurship and Small Business.

Prior to the United Nations addressing the growing concerns regarding climate change today in New York, Chinese Vice Premier Zhang Gaoili said that China will be pledging US$6 million in supporting projects aimed at tackling global warming.
