World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), which is known for its scripted wrestling matches, is looking to ramp up its presence in the lucrative Chinese market as it aims to tap into the country's rising middle-class population.

The World Wrestling Entertainment severed its contract with iconic wrestler Hulk Hogan, also known as Terry Bollea, for racist remarks that appeared in a sex video filmed eight years ago, the Daily Beast reported. The WWE has not announced an official reason for the split but said that made the move out of its commitment to embrace and celebrate people from all backgrounds, according to a Yahoo Sports report.
