A handful of photographs have surfaced over the Internet recently showing a Xiaomi Mi Box at a Walmart stall with a price tag of just $69.

The Xiaomi Mi Box was announced at this year's Google I/O Conference, and since then, the device has been highly-anticipated by many interested buyers.

It appears that Xiaomi has already started shipping the Mi Box without officially announcing it.

In a picture posted by Twitter user George Garrett, it can be surmised that at least three units of the Xiaomi Mi Box are waiting for interested buyers to pick them up. The exact location of the Walmart store was not mentioned, although the photo have stirred many in the tech community to drop by the nearest Walmart store to check whether one is available.

According to Engadget, the Xiaomi Mi Box is an Android-powered set-top box that boasts 4K streaming capabilities at 60 frames per second. The box is also expected to support HDR video as well as Google Cast which allows users to directly stream online media contents directly to supported smartphones, tablets and laptops.

The Xiaomi Mi Box has an onboard quad-core processor with a pretty decent graphics processing unit, as it runs on Android TV version 6.0 and video games at a decent rate.

The device from the Chinese tech company is said to come with a Bluetooth remote control that supports voice commands, while a separate controller is available for gaming purposes.

Xiaomi has yet to officially confirm the price and availability of the Mi Box. If the recently shared photo has any truth to it, it seems that the Mi Box will be an affordable alternative for devices like the Roku 4, Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV.
