American auto manufacturer GMC has unveiled the new All Terrain X version of its popular Sierra heavy-duty pickup truck. The new GMC Sierra HD All Terrain X is the company's newest entry into the off-road truck market.

Just like most high-end pickup trucks that are available in the market today, the new vehicle from GMC sports an all-black facade which adds an aura of ruggedness and durability to the truck.

The new truck model will also boast a lot of new accessories and perks that will complement its high-end specs, the company confirmed.

USA Today reported that in a statement, GMC vice president for sales and marketing Duncan Aldred said, "The new Sierra HD All Terrain X's powerful attitude reflects a popular trend in off-road trucks - a combination of attributes GMC has cultivated for years."

Off-road pickup trucks are known for their huge engines that burn a lot of fuel. Thus, despite the recent hike in gas prices, GMC wants to retain the classic pickup build which does not sacrifice power and efficiency just to save on fuel. 

The new GMC Sierra HD packs a powerful 6.6-liter Duramax V8 turbo-diesel engine but according to CNet, is also available for a 6-liter gas V8 engine, aside from the Duramax model.

The new Sierra HD also has some new external perks. The pickup's new off-road kit includes 18-inch black wheels, off-road tires and body-color trim pieces. As previously mentioned, majority of the car's parts are painted black like the side mirrors, side steps, bed-mounted sport bar and B-pillars.
