Jenny McCarthy Knows Why She Was Fired From "The View"; Rosie O'Donnell Lifts Ratings

Jenny McCarthy thinks she knows why she was fired from "The View".

When McCarthy and Sherri Shepherd were let go from "The View" last June, ABC never gave an actual reason why they wanted to re-cast the women-centered panel.

McCarthy gave her take on Good Day NY last Tuesday as to why she thinks she was cut from the show.

She believes it is "because [ABC] wanted to make sure the table was diverse. So they consider when Rosie [O'Donnell] was coming back, it was too liberal, and they wanted a conservative and they wanted a Latina, so they got Rosie Perez...so that way it was a balanced table with more diversity."

While McCarthy is no longer part of the show, O'Donnell, who was once part of the panel, has been brought back. Along with Rosie, Perez and Republican conservative Nicolle Wallace have been added to the roster.

The premiere of the 18th season of "The View" was watched by more than 3.9 million viewers, marking its highest viewership yet since its 2006 premiere.

And of course, with the return of the controversial and loud O'Donnell, the show had its very first fight of the season.

While the panel composed of four ladies discussed conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer's opinion that Obama is a narcissist, Wallace came to the said writer's defense, even calling him a "god".

Wallace argued that the US president is not capable of building relationships with both Republicans and Democrats, to which O'Donnell asked, "Are you implying that Obama doesn't [love people]?"

The new panelist said yes.

The answer led to a heated discussion amongst the panelists, with Perez shouting "Oh, that's bull crap!"

A shocked O'Donnell also had to get her comments in, saying, "Let me just ask you something, when Kanye West says 'I don't think President Bush cares about black people,' it's like an international insult. But you can say that you don't think Obama likes people?"
