Nokia X vs. Android One: Specs, Features, Software Comparison

The Nokia X and Google Android One lines both feature Android operating systems at reasonable prices. Here, we compare the specs, hardware and availability of the two devices.

Nokia X handsets and Android One both support microSD card storage expansion and dual-SIM but there are significant differences that make each line unique from each other.

For instance, Android One handsets all feature primary and secondary cameras as opposed to some Nexus X line.

Nokia X sports dual-core processors while the minimum processor chips on Android One devices are quad-core. Also, while Nokia X devices still run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. Android One handsets always have the latest OS version.

Both Nokia X and Android One are compatible with rooting kits for each model and support sideloading.

The only difference is that Android One doesn't have to sideload the Google Play Store to download different apps.

Android One also provides users benefits similar to Nexus handset users who get Android 4.4 KitKat as factory OS and an update for the next version. Android One devices also have syncing options supported by Google services such as Chrome, Hangouts, Drive, Gmail, apps and more.

Meanwhile, Nokia X devices only have Microsoft services like Skype, which can be downloaded from the Google Play Store as well.

Nokia X handsets are available on the website and the Nokia Store. These devices are available on various carriers around the world.

Carriers that plan to distribute Android One are Airtel, Acer, ASUS, Alcatel, Intex, HTC, Karbonn, Lenovo, Lava, Micromax, Mediatek, Qualcomm, Panasonic, Xolo and Spice.
