The Motorola Moto 360 smartwatch is in the news with its ad that focuses on the Android Wear design and its difference from its LG and Samsung counterparts.

The Moto 360 sports a 1.56-inch LCD touch screen made with scratch-proof Corning Glass 3. It's also got a 320 x 290 pixels resolution and 205 ppi pixel density. The Moto 360 can pair with handsets that run on Android 4.3 or higher.

The Moto 360 also comes with a light sensor, pedometer and heart rate monitor. It's water and dust resistant but users should know the device isn't waterproof. The Moto 360 can't be used while doing underwater activities such as diving and swimming.

The battery can last a day of activity without having to be re-charged. The Moto 360 has 4 GB of internal storage with 512 MB of RAM.

The ad shows the Moto 360 design and its sketches with coffee cup circles. The smartwatch over a steel circle is shown the technical challenges of the Moto 360 circular design.

The Moto 360 offers a choice of bands including leather. The in-demand gray leather band of the Moto 360 is replaced by the stone leather strap with no change in price.

A Moto 360 gold variant was also seen in a teaser photo shared by Motorola. The company however said it can't comment on the gold variant but it's always exploring new materials. It intends to offer the Moto 360 in a wide selection of styles.

The Motorola Moto 360 quickly went out of stock in the United States after it recently hit store shelves. Fortunately, Motorola re-stocked the gadget in time.
