Last week, a tweet claimed the upcoming Android will be unveiled on Oct. 16 and will power the Nexus 8.

Meanwhile, developer Paul O'Brien's tweet suggested the 8.9-inch tablet will be announced to the public soon. He didn't specifically say it but implied the upcoming Android will have a grand debut.

Of course, Google will unveil its flagship tablet by revealing the device's core functions and capabilities, including the new OS. There isn't any mention of a specific date in the tweet, however.

In 2013, Android 4.4 KitKat and the Nexus 5 were launched at the end of October and released two weeks later. It could be the same this year with a tandem of the Android L and Nexus 8 or Nexus 9. Nexus fans also expect Google to include the Nexus 6 with the package.

If rumors are correct, Nexus 6 or Nexus X will be a repurposed Moto X 2014 that could match the iPhone 6. Beyond the killer Nexus 6 specs, Google will equip the device with a killer OS to bring it to life. That's the Android L.

It could be an exciting Halloween if the two-week window period from launch to release date were to be applied, and Google will push the Nexus 8, Android L and Nexus 6 before the year ends.
