Moto G 2014 vs. iPhone 6: Budget Smartphone Wins over Apple Premium Handset?

A comparison between the Apple iPhone 6 and the Motorola Moto G may be unlikely but when at looked closely, the budget smartphone appears to have a good chance against the premium handset.

For those on a limited budget, here's a comparison between the mobile phones and its specs to determine which one's better for you.

The Moto G 2014 is a budget smartphone priced only at US$179 for the 16 GB variant.. According to AndroidCentral and GSMArena, the first Moto G is the best-selling Motorola Smartphone ever.

The Moto G 2014 will replace the original Moto G with better specifications. It features a plastic body and has a 5-inch IPS LCD display that supports 1280 x 720 pixels resolution and a 294 ppi pixel count. Its front has dual speakers placed one atop the other.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 6 sports a 4.7-inch LED-back IPS LCD display with a 1334 x 750 pixels resolution and 326 ppi pixel density.

The iPhone 6 is powered by the A8 64-bit dual-core processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. It features PowerVR GX6650 graphics with 1 GB of RAM.

The iPhone 6 is available in 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants with no external storage support.

Meanwhile, the Moto G 2014 is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset which has a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 305 GPU. It has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB and 16 GB storage options. The user can add storage at up to 32 GB using the microSD external storage.

The iPhone 6 features an 8 megapixel rear camera with a 1.2 megapixel front camera. On the other hand, the Moto G 2014 sports an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 2 megapixel front camera.

The iPhone 6 runs on iOS 8 while the Moto G 2014 runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat upgradeable to Android L.
