HTC Desire Eye to feature 13MP selfie front camera

There have been a few weird entries into the smartphone market this past year, the Oppo N1 and Xperia C3 both featured high-end camera sensors on the front of the device, and it looks like the HTC Desire Eye will continue this trend.
Leaks from Upleaks and HTCFamily.ru show us all we need to know about the new device, the most important feature being the 13MP front-facing sensor with dual-LED flash. This will be mimicked on the back, with another 13MP dual-LED camera.

Design wise, the HTC Desire Eye looks to follow HTC's normal phone aesthetic, with the three software keys and HTC logo on the bottom front bezel. There will sadly, be no front-facing speakers like on the HTC One.
Inside, the HTC Desire Eye looks to be a mix between mid-range and high-end, with a Snapdragon 801 processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone will feature a 5.2-inch 1080p display. The specs almost match the HTC One M8 in every regard.
The HTC Desire Eye appears to have only two colors, the red or blue, both bright and on the sides of the device. The back of the device will feature polycarbonate, instead of aluminum. Normally, HTC's smartphones feel good in the hand and are durable, even without having aluminum.
No word on the price or availability, HTC has a "dual exposure" event coming up on October 8, this is probably where we will see the launch of the device. HTC has been downgrading some international markets, in favor of launching phones in South-East Asia, hopefully the HTC Desire Eye comes to Western fans.
