People from the world over are anxiously monitoring the spread of the Ebola virus after new three cases were confirmed that took place outside West Africa last week.

The three cases include one in Spain and two in the United States have been confirmed outside the outbreak zone. The panic has been tipping most people, especially those residing in North America, Europe and Asia.

Though it is still unlikely that an Ebola outbreak can happen in the U.S., Americans have become increasingly concerned as 26-year-old Dallas nurse Nina Pham has recently tested positive of the disease.

Pham, who was a nurse at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital, contracted the virus after she aided in treating the first Ebola patient on American soil, Thomas Eric Duncan.

Though reports indicate that the possibility of Ebola spreading throughout the U.S. is low, several scientists are looking into other countries where the disease can pop up due to air travel.

"Germs have always traveled. The problem now is they can travel with the speed of a jet plane," University of Michigan History of Medicine Professor Howard Markel stated.

Researchers at the Laboratory for the Modeling of Biological and Socio-Technical Systems in Boston's Northeastern University have calculated which countries are at highest risk of having a single imported case of Ebola based air travel and commuting patterns from affected areas by November.

At the top of the list is West Africa's Ghana with a little less than 100% risk, followed by the United States with about 70% risk.

Closely trailing the U.S. is France, Senegal and the Ivory Coast with more than 50% risk, while the United Kingdom shows 50% risk of having an Ebola case from air travel.

Countries with risk levels lower than 50% included Nigeria, Belgium, Gambia, Mali, Morocco, South Africa, Lebanon, Kenya, Germany, China, UAE, Switzerland, Togo, Spain, India, the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, Uganda, Mauritania, Sweden, Portugal, Cameroon and Brazil.

As of October 8, 4,033 out of 8,399 Ebola cases have led to deaths with 2,316 from Liberia, 930 in Sierra Leone, 778 in Guinea, eight from Nigeria, and one in the U.S.
