Google (GOOG) has finally announced the arrival of the Nexus 6, developed in partnership with Motorola. The new smartphone will feature an enormous 6-inch display, making this the biggest Nexus smartphone in the history of the program.

The design of the Nexus 6 copies most of the Moto X (2014 Edition), with a metal frame, minimalist front with thin bezels, dual-flash inside-the-camera border and Motorola logo indent.
Differences between the two devices include the size of the display, the Moto X only has a 5.2-inch display, while the Nexus 6 has a 6-inch display. The display on the Nexus 6 is also a QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution beast, while the Moto X has a 1920 x 1080 full HD panel.
Inside the Nexus 6 sits a 2.7GHz Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 420 GPU. This is a lot of horsepower - a lot. The Nexus 6 also has dual-front facing speakers, similar to the HTC One M8.
The camera on the Nexus 6 will be a 13MP f/2.0 lens with optical image stabilization and HDR+. Motorola has fitted a monster 3220mAh battery inside the Nexus 6, along with Motorola's fast charger, giving six hours of screen time for 15 minutes of charging.
Google's newest update to Android, called 5.0 Lollipop, will be available on the Nexus 6. This new update brings a brand new design language, called Material Design, alongside faster multi-tasking and much better ways to respond and use notifications.
The Nexus 6 will be available to pre-order on October 29. No word on price or availability worldwide.
