Chinese telecom equipment company Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. recently announced it's partnering with South African Football Club Ajax Cape Town as the team's new and official shirt sponsor for the current Premier Soccer League season.
Huawei and Ajax Cape Town agreed to a two-year sponsorship deal which gives the Chinese company the right to review the plan after the first year.

Huawei will also have the option to extend the deal for two more years after the completion of the initial two-year period.
"We are putting our full support behind Ajax Cape Town which represents the same values of Huawei and intends to capture the spirit of making things possible," said Wilson Liu, Huawei's general manager for South Africa.
Ajax Cape Town, also known as the Urban Warriors, are now included among other European football clubs as an official partner of Huawei.
It's also the first deal made by the Chinese giant in the African Continent.
"Ajax Cape Town is the first African club to wear the Huawei Logo on its shirt and joins international football giants that have recently signed sponsorship agreements with Huawei." said Ari Efstathiou, CEO of Ajax Cape Town.
"Once again Ajax Cape Town is the 'first' to partner with an internationally acclaimed brand."
With the partnership, the South African Club will benefit financially as well as technologically, which will allow the club to invest in new players.
