The Chinese Pangu team just released the iOS 8 jailbreak after around 35 days since the launch of Apple's mobile operating system.

The Pangu download link for iOS 8 was available on the Pangu website shortly before it was pulled out a couple of minutes later. It's great news for jailbreak fans that have been anticipating this release for several weeks. The download, however, still comes with some conditions that make the iOS 8 jailbreak quite useless for the meantime.

Currently, the jailbreak will not install Cydia. It will only provide basic SSH access so developers can update their iOS 8 tweaks. People can jailbreak their device but won't be able to do anything because Cydia isn't included.

The good news is that Saurik is currently updating Cydia for iOS 8, 8.1 Pangu jailbreak but ETA is still unknown.

The Pangu iOS 8 is currently for Windows only and it's safe to expect a Mac version will arrive later on once a new and more stable version is released.

The website also offers some jailbreak process information. According to Pangu, it will be compatible with the iPod touch 5G, iPhone 4s, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad mini, iPad mini 2, iPad mini 3, iPad, iPad Air, iPad Air 2.

Those who plan to jailbreak their device should back-up first. It's recommended to restore to iOS 8.1 through iTunes or update to iOS 8.1 before the jailbreak process begins.

The Pangu team also encourages people to turn off the lock screen passcode and Find My iPhone features and leave some free storage space before jailbreaking their device.
