The Galaxy Note 4 was first made available in China and South Korea and has been expanding availability since then. It was recently released in the United States and experienced delays in the UK and India markets where sales started only last week.

Samsung also released a dual-SIM version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 in China a few days ago. Currently, there is still no information whether the dual-SIM models will also be available outside of China. According to reports, Samsung may also release the Galaxy Note 4 Duos in Asian countries, and India could be the next country to receive the dual DIM variant next to China.

The 4.5 million sold units does not include the Galaxy Note Edge, the two-sided screen sibling of the Note 4. It's been on sale in just a couple of markets at present. The Galaxy Note Edge features the same specs as the Galaxy Note 4 but its unique selling point is the curved display on its side. The curved screen features a thin bent-glass strip on the side which displays stock information, notifications, scores, news and virtual controls.

The Galaxy Note Edge will be released in select regions only and will be on sale briefly. In the United States, the device will be available on T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint for roughly $1,218.
