Rockstar has sold more than 34 million copies on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 making it the best-selling game since its release, and the company plans to capitalize on the success by offering a new version to new-gen console users.
The remastered version of "GTA 5" will consist of a number of additions and exclusive content. The graphics and details will be drastically improved with new 1080p resolution.
Rockstar mentioned increased draw distances that allow users to see details on buildings and streetlights from miles away in the game. They also said the textures are tremendously detailed, so much so that gamers will be able to see screws on some of the vehicles.
Rockstar will offer brand new events challenges across Los Santos for players to complete, which will unlock new vehicles like the menacing "Imponte Duke O'Death" as well as the classic Dodo seaplane used in previous GTA games.
Players will also receive new weapons including a rail gun, which is reportedly a futuristic high-powered weapon that unloads rounds of explosive ammunition - as well as a Hatchet melee weapon used to hack and slash enemies at close range.
Additionally, fans who preorder the new version before the November 18 release date will receive $1 million of in-game cash for use in story mode and GTA Online. Rockstar also said it will release more exclusive content and surprises that players will have to discover for themselves once the game is released.
