The last major 2014-year update for Microsoft's Xbox One is now available for gamers, as the company added some more features that Xbox fans have requested.

Xbox One fans have been forced to stare at a black backdrop for months and have been requesting background customization options. Microsoft has listened and implemented Custom Background capabilities as one of the new features in the update.

Gamers are now able to choose any color or any achievement art they want as their home screen wallpaper, which will appear when signing into the account. Furthermore, gamers won't be limited to just colors and achievements, as they'll even be able to upload any image using a USB drive.

In addition, the update also includes more gamer profile features. Gamers can now share their location and bio as part of their profile, something that's been lost since the Xbox 360. Gamers can also showcase items including game clips and achievements that are displayed when someone else looks at their profile.

Microsoft made it much easier to share game clips on Twitter as well. When a game clip has been created, gamers can simply click the share button and select Twitter and a tweet of the game clip will automatically be posted.

The update also allows gamers to easily discover new TV shows with the new "Trending" tab in OneGuide. The new Live TV tab shows the top 20 most watched TV shows and is updated every minute. There's also the MiniGuide, which displays actual tweets in real time for the Live TV tab, allowing users to join in on the conversation.

Microsoft first announced the update last month, but is officially available for Xbox One users today.
