The Lumia update is the most recent major OS update for Lumia handsets and Microsoft confirmed it will roll out soon.

In several regions, the Lumia update is preloaded on the Lumia 735, Lumia 730 and Lumia 830.

The Microsoft Lumia official twitter account announced Lumia Denim is currently in the testing stage and will be released to the public after it receives approval from the operator.

Once the update's available carriers will have to approve and roll Lumia out quickly. The sooner they act, the quicker users can install the update on their gadgets.

Right now, the timeframe of when the Lumia Denim update called NokiaPowerUser will bring new features isn't confirmed.

The new update will allow users to say "Hey Cortana" to activate the voice assistant even without touching the device.

The Moment Capture will let users capture still photos of 8.3 megapixels from ultra HD videos @ 24 fps. There are many camera improvements, including speed, faster shooting capabilities and startup, auto HDR and dynamic flash.

The Lumia Demin upgrade will bring features on the Glance screen such as the Bing Weather, health data and alerts.

The update includes the Windows Phone 8.1 GDR Update 2 that adds new features such as Live folders, text message forwarding and more. It was rumored to be available before November ends and the official tweet indicates the upgrade is imminent.

Additional app updates may be needed to completely enable new phone features.
