Marvin Lewis, Head Coach of the Cincinnati Bengals, just called Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel a "midget" in a radio interview last Monday.

When asked whether or not the Browns' quarterback decision would affect how the Bengals will be preparing for the game against Cleveland for long.

While the comment he made wasn't the most popular thing that Lewis has said, it really did not take him long to offer up an apology for the statement.

Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer said that Lewis issued an apology Monday night regarding the comment.

"I apologize to Johnny and the Browns and all the fans in Cleveland," Lewis said. "It was just a poor remark. I really didn't mean anything by it."

He also added that their preparations will not be affected by the Brown's decision of which quarterback to play.

"You'll get a little bit more movement if Manziel's the quarterback, the thing that they did against Buffalo. But other than that, no, that doesn't impact you at all. You gotta go defend the offense. You don't defend the player."

He then paused and added, "Particularly a midget."

Manziel has had a good run ever since the Browns took on the Buffalo Bills in a losing effort.

He had finally got the chance to play when starting quarterback Brian Hoyer was benched early in the fourth quarter.

On his first drive, Manziel showed what he was made of as he delivered the Browns' first touchdown drive of the game. It was an eight play drive that spanned 80 yards.

His performance was enough to make Head Coach Mike Pettine and team think about which quarterback to start. However, Pettine had decided to still go with Hoyer in their losing game against the Indianapolis Colts (25-24).

Sources then said that if Hoyer and the Browns lost, then Manziel could be up to be the next starting quarterback.
