Lizard Squad, a group notorious for its distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, is apparently still planning to send out a massive attack to the Xbox Live network on Christmas Day, despite the group recently being hacked and targeted by the FBI.
Lizard squad struck multiple gaming companies including Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and EA Games with DDoS attacks several times this month causing its servers to crash for long periods of time.

The group has caused numerous problems within the gaming community, and earlier this month said that it would send out a massive attack to Xbox Live again on Christmas day vowing to shut the network down forever.
"On December 25 aka Christmas, we will tap into Microsoft and shut down Xbox Live, FOREVER! So enjoy it while it lasts," Lizard Squad said via Twitter.
Many gaming fans thought the relentless Lizard Squad would be put to an end when a new group of hackers going by the name of Finest Squad hacked and leaked information to the FBI leading to a few arrests. But apparently Lizard Squad hasn't been hindered and still plans the DDoS attack, according to the "DramaAlert" YouTube channel.
DramaAlert is a channel that brings news on the social interactions in gaming entertainment, and managed to get a phone interview with members within the Lizard Squad and Finest Squad groups.
Most of the video showed each member going back and forth with cursing insults, but the Lizard Squad member did mention that the group would send out a DDoS attack on Christmas. However, the Finest Squad member fired back claiming he can prevent any attacks, as the group has access to Lizard Squad's IRC Direct IP and even claimed that they would send Lizard Squad a DDoS attack of its own.
The battle between the DDoS group and hacker group is seemingly still running strong, and it'll be interesting to see who comes out on top during Christmas day.
