Zayn Malik Of One Direction Leaves Band Tour Due To Stress

Zayn Malik, member of the famous boy band One Direction,  will be taking a short break from the band tour due to stress, according to Billboard.

Malik will be heading back to U.K. to deal with what he is going through and the band will carry on with the next concert dates without him.

"Zayn has been signed off with stress and is flying back to the U.K. to recuperate," said the band's official representative, in an official interview with Billboard.

"The band wish him well and will continue with their performances in Manila and Jakarta," the representative further added.

Malik, along with fellow bandmate Louis Tomlinson, have been asked to post a bond of more than £3,000 each, in obtaining a special work permit for their upcoming concert in Manila, Philippines, according to BBC News.

This bond was intended for the protection of public interest, according to the local immigration.

This consequence stemmed from a viral video, which leaked out last May, showing Malik and Tomlinson smoking cannabis in Peru. The band would be prevented from performing if the producers fail to pay the cash bond before the concert.

Malik was also bashed for a viral picture of him in tabloids wrapping his arm around a woman in a cropped top who was not his fiancée, Perrie Edwards.

A second picture of Malik showed that he stood close to the woman and their arms and hands were interlinked.

The One Direction member immediately clarified the issue via social media.

"I'm 22 years old. I love a girl named Perrie Edwards. And there's a lot of jealous people in this world. I'm sorry for what it looks like," said Malik, via a Twitter post last Wednesday.

Malik denied any wrongdoing in these recent issues but it is possible that all the negative attention is giving him a huge burden, thus causing the stress.

However, Malik is set to reunite with his bandmates on tour in their South Africa concert on March 28.

None of the band members gave any individual statements on their social media accounts.
