Mobile phone maker Samsung has announced its mid range phones J7 and J5 in China. The compact design and comprehensive features of these mobiles are targeted towards the younger audience. It comes with a front-facing camera, a first ever feature for Samsung phones.
According to 9 to 5 Google, Samsung has announced the launch of two new phones, exclusively in China - Samsung Galaxy J5 and Samsung Galaxy J7. These models feature a front facing camera which is a refreshing break from the usual Samsung models. The new design in these models is centered around youngsters who are fond of clicking selfies, even in relatively dimmer lighting conditions. The other features of the phone are pretty much ordinary. The highlight of these smartphones is the 13-megapixel rear camera with f/1.9 aperture and 720p displays. As for the storage, the phone comes with a massive 16 GB space that ensures users have space to accommodate all their important data on the phone.

While the Samsung Galaxy J5 is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 410 64-bit quad-core processor along with an Adreno 306 GPU, the J7 is fuelled by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor. On the other hand, the J5 has a 2,600mAh battery and the J7 comes with a 3,000mAh battery capacity, according to Android Headlines.
Starting this week, the devices will be available in China. As of now, the color options for the handsets are black, white and golden color. Samsung's new device are going to be faced by tough competition in the Chinese market since there are already many low budget devices available in this part of the world.
Last year, when the annual results were announced, it was revealed that Samsung failed pretty badly and took a huge hit. With this new launches, the company will be looking to make a comeback of sorts. So far, Samsung has not revealed any details about the availability of these phones in the other markets of the world, but that information is also expected shortly.
