Huawei went out of its shell by opening an online store earlier this month, selling the Ascend Mate 2 to U.S. market. Currently, Huwei returns with the P8 flagship, and this review will be covering the P8 Lite.

The said sibling of the P8 has a 720p IPS diplay, providing 294 ppi pixel density. It is powered by 2GB of RAM plus is equipped with a 1.5 GHz octa-core processor. There's also a microSD card external support for extended memory of up to 32GB and a standard 16 GB internal storage.

Phone Arena reported that the back camera of Huawei P8 Lite sports 13 megapixel (MP) with dual LED flash, while the front camera is at 5MP. The Huawei device,which features a dual SIM card, is also equipped with LTE support that provides more freedom for the user plus a 2,200 mAH battery that makes its wheels turning.

At first sight, the P8 Lite of Huawei looks the same with Apple's iPhone 6.

On the other hand, some sacrifices have been made because it is sold at $249 in the U.S. market while £199 in the U.K. market.  Since the P8 Lite is cheaper, Huawei lets go of the metal body for a plastic faux metal frame, and the screen is quite small for five inches and thicker at 7.7mm, weighing 4.62 ounces.

P8 Lite has a block design with its slightly rounded corners plus a chrome Huawei logo on the bottom front. The plastic continues with a brushed look at the back while at the top left corner is the 13MP camera with single LED flash plus another Huawei logo in the middle.

Every angle of the smartphone has a solid grip, in order to give assurance that it will not slip off the user's hand. If in case it does, the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 should help lessen the damage.

According to Phone Arena, on top of the headphone jack and on the bottom, there are two speakers and charging port. Although, there are two speaker grilles, the truth is only the left speaker is working.

Finally, if Huawei can make the P8 Lite a bit cheaper in the international market, then consumers looking for a relatively powerful mid-range Android and stylish phone may just have found their next mobile device.
