Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350 - Kanye West has had his hands full in the past few months, not only be designing clothes but now he's designing footwear as well.

On Thursday, the rapper's fans queued in anticipation of his new shoe design in the form of Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350.

Though the trainers have a price tag of around US$250, reports say they can be sold for around US$950 online, according to Mirror.

Footwear fans around the globe have started queuing outside clothes shop since Thursday for the release of the Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350 today.

In High Bridge, Newcastle, fashion fans started lining up bringing chairs with them to get their hands on the Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350.

In Wellington on the corner of Cuba St and Dixon St outside Area 51, Kanye fans have also set up camp 12 hours before the must-have trainers went on sale today.

In Auckland, a group of friends named Carson Zhang, Yun Zhao, and Grace Qiu can be seen heading the pack of fans lining up for the Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350. They even left City of Sails Thursday night just to make sure they can get a hold of the famed shoes.

"We drove down all night and got here about 4.30am," said Zhang. "There are too many people in Auckland and this way we were guaranteed a pair."

The friendly trio said they would have to admire their own pairs for a long time first before they decide on wearing them.

An Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350 hopeful, Chris Wong from Lower Hutt, arrived very early at 8:30 a.m. to secure his own "a once in a life time" pair .

Chris even made a friend from the queue, Micah Brown from Porirua, who showed a few hours later despite the cold.

"I'll just look at them for a while before getting them dirty," he said.

In New Zealand, the limited Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350 sells for US$300, but they can be sold triple that amount online, according to stuff.co.nz.

Shop assistant Kariba McGinn from Area 51 said the Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350 shoes were very exclusive and well designed.

The madness over the release of the Adidas X Yeezy Boost 350 also took place online as it became an Internet sensation Saturday, according to Bleacher Report.

Its limited availability and unique look were a big part of this.

Sellers also offered their own unique posts and teasers of the limited edition shoes via Twitter.

It isn't only Kanye, but his wife Kim Kardashian and her family are also donning the shoes and providing a little bit of high-profile promotion.

While on a promotional tour, Kim Kardashian wore the shoes and posted a photo with her wearing them on Instagram. Kim's little sister Kylie Jenner did the same on Instagram.
