LG G2 Confirmed to Get Android 5.1.1 Lollipop Update

LG G2 will get the Android 5.1.1. Lollipop update, despite earlier reservations to the contrary.
Though the smartphone is available in the market since the last two years and LG G3, G4 are now having a successfull run, it might be a bit strange that that LG G2 will receive the operating system update, according to Tech Gadget Central.

Several websites have reported that G2 will get the update while LG has not officially made any announcement. German website Android Pit has claimed that they have received the information regarding the update from an LG employee who is probably working in the software development department in Korea.
LG G3 and LG G Flex 2 is still running on Android Lollipop 5.0 update while G2 is expected to have the firmware update soon, as per reports by IB Times.
Tech experts are expecting that the LG G3 and LG Flex 2 might avoid the Android 5.1.1 update and bounce to direct Android M, which is due to hit the market this fall.
The G2 5.1.1 update might miss the change log system but users will be able to enjoy the features of LG G4 systems. The icons will remain the same as G3 interface, while the onscreen buttons might follow the typical Android Lollipop style, as stated by GSM Arena.
LG G2 has a display size of 5.2-inches with 424 pixels per inch while its screen resolution is fitted with 1080 x 1920 pixels with corning gorilla glass 2 protection. Meanwhile, Quad-Core 2.26 GHz Krait 400 processor powers the hardware segment.
Adreno 330 is chipped as the GPU system while its RAM unit has 2GB of memory. The device does not have any external card facility but it offers 16/32 GB internal storage. The rear camera has 13MP sensor while its front camera offers 2.1MP photo shooting facility. The device has 3000mAh battery backup with 790H standby time facility.
According to reports, the LG G2 Android 5.1.1 update might not be released globally. For testing purposes, certain regions and countries might receive the new system while rest of the world might have to wait for it.
