The singer and the bus driver reached an agreement after the bus driver report the incident, according to Hangzhou Traffic Police's report. Korea Boo reported that the agreement was reached over compensation.
Psy was in Hangzhou to attend the opening party of a bar on July 17h, according to local media reports. A local employee and his manager were with him, but no one was injured in the accident. Psy, meanwhile, immediately moved to a Porsche, which was part of his convoy and was driving in front of his Rolls Royce.
The Korean singer garnered international fame with his hit track "Gangnam Style." The song celebrated its third anniversary on July 15. Korea Boo reported that this single fueled the popularity of K-Pop beyond its traditional territories and introduced it to the people who were not aware about it. On Youtube, the single's music video has been viewed 3.7 billion times since its release.
Earlier, the singer, 37, hit the headlines in May when he was present during a deadly shooting incident in a reserve forces training camp. Korea Boo quoted an affiliate of Psy as saying that he had gone to the camp on May 13 as the principle, and he had left early due to his afternoon scheduled. The singer was not aware about the shooting spree and it was shocking. Shortly after the news of the incident surfaced, netizens accused Psy of receiving special treatment from the military and leaving early from the reserve forces drill.
YG Entertainment's rep., Psy's management agency, responded to the accusations, saying that Psy left the training because "his schedule was already set and could not be changed," adding, "this is part of a system that can be used by all reserve soldiers, and the rumors that he is receiving special treatment are complete nonsense."
