Multi-hyphenated Taiwanese celebrity Jay Chou is no stranger when it comes to splurging for his loved ones. After his lavish wedding with Hannah Quinlivan in Taiwan, Australia, and England, it is not a surprise if the actor-singer would indulge his model wife with a luxurious stay at a ritzy confinement hotel in Taipei.

After undergoing caesarian section with the birth of their first child, Quinlivan was reportedly recuperating at the Ma Cherie Post Partum Center. Apple Daily published a photo claiming that Quinlivan's car was parked in the center's basement. The tabloid further alleged that Chou has rented out the entire sixth floor and requested that other recuperating mothers be relocated.

But this was immediately denied by Ma Cherie and Chou's label JVR Music. The posh maternal care facility is said to be easily accessible from the couple's house, where Chou is allegedly staying while on his showbiz break.

With a strict privacy policy, Ma Cherie is an ideal choice for the 36-year-old celebrity, who has gone to great lengths in keeping his family safe from prying eyes. According to reports, booking the sixth floor for one month could cost Chou NT$2.2 million (an estimated $70,500). The stay would include six meals in a day, with dishes such as oyster sauce pig trotters, sesame oil pig liver soup, and five-grain rice served.

Reports also stated that Chou has not yet appeared in public one week after his daughter was born, except for a taped broadcast of "The Voice of China" on Friday. The new father was in complete reluctance to upload any update nor picture of his baby. The only public statement he made about the birth of his child was "We have a daughter now; Hannah and I are very happy."

Aside from being thoroughly protective, Chou has been very hands-on with the birth of his first child. Chou reportedly took two weeks off his busy schedule to be by his wife's side and focus on the arrival of their little angel. In return, Quinlivan acknowledged her husband's "100 percent" effort and expressed her gratitude through her first social media post after giving birth.
