African authorities revealed on Wednesday that a Nigerian nurse died after contracting the Ebola virus.
According to Nigerian authorities, the nurse is the second person in the country to get infected by the deadly virus. She has attended to infected patients and contracted the disease later on.

Health authorities said a total of five Nigerian nationals were infected by the virus. They think the virus spread after Patrick Sawyer, 40, a U.S. businessman, was not treated as an Ebola patient after catching the disease when he arrived in Nigeria in July.
The deaths occurred in Lagos, Nigeria, and Nigerian authorities worry that the virus may spread quickly since Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa. Lagos is one of Nigeria's biggest cities.
As of Monday, 932 Ebola related deaths were reported in the regions of Sierra Leone, Guinea, Liberia and in Nigeria.
London's Red Cross disaster response manager Ben Webster said it is highly imperative that anyone who is starting to show the symptoms of Ebola is quickly identified so they can be treated immediately to prevent the transmission of the virus.
"There is certainly more likelihood of travelers coming from an Ebola-affected country in the region and authorities need to be aware, even if the infrastructure and situation is challenging," Webster said.
Meanwhile in Saudi Arabia, man who was being treated for Ebola-like symptoms died at a hospital in Jeddah, the health ministry said.
Before he fell ill, the 40-year-old man has visited Sierra Leone, one of the regions in West Africa with the outbreak.
If doctors will be able to confirm that his death was Ebola-related, it will be the first case of the virus outside of Africa.
