In a recent deposition against Kanye West, the rapper stated, "I'm the smartest celebrity you've ever f-cking dealt with. I'm not Britney Spears."

The said statement was lifted off of a transcription of the ongoing civil lawsuit filed by photographer Daniel Ramos against West.

The lawsuit was prompted by a July 2013 altercation between Ramos and the rapper. Ramos alleges that West beat him up and smashed his camera in LAX International airport. Ramos was able to record the incident.

West, who is being sued by the photographer for assault and battery, told Ramos' lawyer Nate Goldberg that his business is all about making "dope sh-t for the world", while Ramos was a good-for-nothing scum and Goldberg was part of the reason why scum like Ramos are able to use the law to their advantage.

The rapper, who is married to reality star Kim Kardashian, didn't only claim that he is by far "the smartest celebrity", he said that his struggles with the paparazzi is comparable to the African-American civil rights movement in the 1960s.

"I mean in the '60s people used to hold up 'Die N-gger' signs when my parents were in the sit-ins also... Yes, 100... I equate it to discrimination. I equate it to inequalities," West explained.

Goldberg then questioned the rapper about his song "Flashing Lights" which pertained to the paparazzi, quoting the line "Till I get flashed by the paparazzi, damn, these n-ggas got me."

This angered West, prompting him to tell off Goldberg for saying the "n-word". The performer said that Goldberg didn't have the right to say the word because he was white.

In March, West struck a plea deal.

Instead of jail time, the rapper was given probation for two years, community service and anger management counseling.

He pleaded no contest to battery, which is a misdemeanor offense.
