Other Android-based devices have already received the 2.5 MB update that brings security issue updates including the OpenSSL bug. According to the update page, the software update will improve the device's security, performance and stability along with bug fixes.
The Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS upgrade is crucial because it offers the overall KTU84P firmware version.
Motorola aims to provide faster updates than its competitors and it immediately translated after the Moto G launch.
The device had Android 4.3 but the user may immediately upgrade it to Android 4.4 KitKat. Motorola users complained about issues with the upgrade, however.
Moto G users may address some of the issues that came with the upgrade. Some users reportedly solved their signal loss by switching the device off by pressing and holding its power button.
Users can also turn on the device's airplane mode for several minutes but this will not solve the problem permanently. Users are advised to wait for Google, Motorola or their carrier to roll out an update to solve the signal problem.
Users also complained about battery drain and some have a developed a quick fix to solve this issue.
Users can empty the device's battery until it turns off. They should charge the unit and run it again until they empty the battery. They should charge it again and by this time, the problem should be solved.
Motorola previously said Moto units experienced calibration issues. Users may check Motorola's website for more information and support.
