Xiaomi, the largest Chinese smartphone maker, is about to offer 20,000 handsets in its upcoming flash sale on Aug. 12.

Xiaomi global operations vice president Hugo Barra confirmed its flagship Xiaomi Mi4 and the Mi Pad are in the certification process and will possibly debut by the end of 2014 in India.

Here are the specs and features of the Redmi 1S, Mi 4 and Redmi Note:

The Xiaomi Redmi 1S sports a 1.6 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad core processor with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and a microSD card slot.

It features a 4.7-inch IPS display (720p) and 2,000 mAh battery. It has 1.6 MP front and 8 MP rear cameras.

Xiaomi will release the Redmi 1S in the next few weeks and reveal the release date by next week. Barra said that the Redmi 1S will be released complete with a wide range of accessories.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 sports a 5-inch IPS LCD touchscreen display with a clear and crisp 1,080 x 1,920p resolution and a 441 ppi pixel density.

The Xiaomi Mi 4 features a 13 MP Sony rear camera with LED flash and auto-focus capability while the front facing camera has an 8 MP resolution. It has WiFi, Bluetooth, 4G LTE and NFC support.

The 64 GB Xiaomi Mi 4 costs about US$460 while the 16 GM model costs about US$320.

The Redmi Note features a 5.5-inch IPS display (720p) and a Mediatek MT6592 octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.7 GHz.

It has a 2 GB RAM and an 8 GB internal storage with a microSD card slot. It features a 13 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front camera with 3,100 mAh battery.

According to Barra, the phablet will be out in India before Diwali. Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 4G model in China yesterday and it may also do so in India as the company works on a variant which can work on both FDD-LTE and TD-LTE.
