Lupita Nyong’o Turns Heads in New Hairstyle at Disney’s D23 Expo

Lupita Nyong'o turned heads as she debuted her new curly hairstyle during the Disney D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, on Saturday. The 32-year-old actress attended the event to promote three of her new films. Known for her striking fashion sense, she walked the red carpet of the Disney event in a striped mini dress.

Nyong'o took to Instagram and shared a picture of her short and sleek 'do' with her 1.7 million followers, People reported. "Geekin' out at #Disney #d23expo," she captioned the picture. In the picture, she smiles at the camera, while she sports a high gloss look. Her hair reaches up to her ears.

The "12 Years a Slave" actress shared another picture on the photo sharing app, in which she jokes about how much busy she will be at the event. The second photo shows Nyong'o, sporting a goofy expression as she holds up two movie posters "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and Disney's "Jungle Book" while she looks at the camera cross-eyed. "Double duty at Disney," she captioned the picture.

The Academy Awards winner looked stunning in a green and white striped mini dress. The dress was sleeveless with a round neckline. She showed off her toned pins and slender arms in the short dress, Entertainment Weekly reported. Nyong'o accessorised with pearl earrings, and a matching green bangle.

She finished her look with white shoes. For her makeup, the actress opted for a bronzed look all over her body, some eyeliner, and pink lipgloss. Nyong'o also flashed her black manicure during the event.

Nyong'o, who provided the voice for Mowgli's wolf mother Raksha, appeared on stage with the film's 10-year-old actor, Neel Sethi. She clicked a selfie with the child star, saying that she met her Jungle Book son for the first time, USA Today reported. The actress also said that the duo watched a teaser with the D23 expo crowd for the first time.

Sethi won everyone over with his boundless enthusiasm. "It was just, like, so fun, so overwhelming. I can't even talk about it, it was so, like, crazy," he said. Besides "The Jungle Book" film promotion, Nyong'o also attended D23 to promote "The Queen of Katwe".
