Popular South Korean actor Kim Soo Hyun has played a diverse range of characters in his short acting career -- from an alien to a goofy, rookie producer. And he seems to be someone who likes to be known for his work than his personal life, and that is why there is a paucity of information about his personal life. During his recent visit to the U.S. to attend KCON 2015, the actor shared some details from his personal pages.

In an interview given to People Magazine, Soo Hyun revealed why his mother suggested that he join acting classes. According to the actor, he was an "introvert," and to overcome that, his mother recommended that he enroll in an acting class. This is how he got into acting.     

"Acting in a play, I felt like I became a different person," "The Producers" actor said, adding that he used to feel "ecstatic" hearing the audience applause even when he was a child.  "I knew I wanted to be an actor [then]," he told People.  

Soo Hyun catapulted into stardom with Korean dramas such as "Moon Embracing the Sun" and "My Love from the Star." The latter became a cult hit in China, making Soo Hyun one of the most popular South Korean actors in the country, with an ardent fan following. Despite his huge popularity, he feels that he still has to learn a lot as an actor.  "I feel excited when I'm acting and want to go far as an actor," Soo Hyun said.  

The actor is going through a golden phase of his professional life, with a super-busy schedule that does not give him much time to indulge in fun activities.  When he gets that rare break, the actor does not like to sit at home and watch television. He likes to stay active all the time. He said, "I usually play sports like bowling and badminton with my friends. Having a relaxing time with my favorite people is the best day off."

There may be a lot of young Korean actresses who are dreaming about bagging a role opposite him, but Soo Hyun wants to work with Gwyneth Paltrow, and this desire to work with her has been there since a long time. The 27-year-old finds her "attractive" and "talented."
