'Street Fighter 5' PS4 Release Date Set On Spring 2016 Likely; Capcom Announce Beta 1.02 Patch, Tournament At GameStop Expo!

According to Gospel Herald, Capcom has announced that "Street Fighter 5" will be showcased at the 2015 GameStop Expo on September 2 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The GameStop Expo will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch as Capcom will reveal new details regarding its current development, new features and possibly a new character announcement.

The GameStop Expo will be hosted by Kinda Funny Games and will feature some of the well-known game developers and publishers in the video game industry as they will showcase several of there upcoming video game titles this year.

The website further adds that Capcom will holding a video game tournament for "Street Fighter 5" as a way of promoting the latest sequel and showcase some its improvements from the previous beta test.

The Christian Post reports that Capcom is also launching a new patch 1.02 update for "Street Fighter 5" beta. Many gamers have complained about the many glitches and disfunctions within the "Street Fighter 5" beta that Capcom has ultimately holted all operations in the beta test in order for them to fix the problem.

It is said the the new patch update will boost "Street Fighter 5" beta's in-game functionality. Gamers can already download the latest patch with a file size at 1.2GB and it can enhance the gamers log in and match making features.

Sadly, players will have to contend first in the beta's offline mode as the online gameplay for "SF5" is still being fixed at this time.

The official Twitter page of "Street Fighter 5" decribed the new patch update as an "internal stress test" as Capcom will see whether this new patch fix could improve the beta's overall performance. The Japanese game developer and publisher also thanked the fans for there patience regarding the beta.


Capcom's Brand director Matt Dahlgren commented that "Street Fighter 5" is a product that learned from its previous predecessors in terms of gameplay and features, Event Hubs reported.

He also stated that "Street Fighter 5" is game that lets players return to the series roots while they enjoying the new features and characters within the game.

So far there are around nine playable characters announced within "Street Fighter 5's" roster such as Ryu, Chun Li, Charlie Nash, M. Bison, Cammy White, Birdie, Ken Masters, Necalli and Vega.

Other rumored characters include Urien, R. Mika, Karen Kanzaki, Alex, Zangief, Blanka, Guile, Akuma, Hugo, Poison, C.Viper, Dudley, Abel, Kuan and Sherry.

It was previously reported that "Street Fighter 5" will have a simultaneous launch for the PS4 and PC as the it rumored that the game will available in Spring 2016.
