According to GamingBolt, Bungie has showcased a new map for "Destiny: The Taken King" as they introduce the Vertigo Map along with new screenshots of it in its expansion.

Bungie explained that Vertigo is one of the three main sections of combat within the game as they are connected to a series of dog-legged tunnels. Multiplayer game developer Andrew Weldon has shared tat players will have a hard time travelling this map as it is difficult to determine which side of the area will gamers be coming from due to its symmetrical design.

Weldon hinted that they had to break apart the Vertigo map into different areas in order to determine the best course of action for players to be prepared, wherein one side is bathed in sunlight, while the other is cast in shadow with an articial light to lit on in order to see.

In other news, there have been rumors making rounds that weapons, armors and exotics will be retained in "Destiny's" Year Two and "The Taken King" expansion.

According to Gamerant, a recent post from reddit user JeminTimes999 revealed a Bungine update in "Destiny" last December that states how to retain certain weapons, gears, armors anf exotics for future expansions within the game.

JeminTimes999 also highlighted a paragrpah from community manager Drej in order to suppot the claim.

"The last thing we wanted was for you to look at your favorite gun or helmet and decide that it became obselete," Dej wrote. "The time you invested in your stuff should be respected."

It was recently announced by Bungie that some Exotic weapons, gears and armors in "Destiny" will not be upgraded in "The Taken King" expansion.

However, the Inquistr reports that Bungie has included an Exotics armor and weapon blue print terminals in the Tower Vanguard Hall that will enable players to retain their Exotic piece during Year Two and "The Taken King" expansion.

The Exotic Blue prints will cost one Exotic shard and 2,500 glimmer, not to mention that it is unsure yet whether this will affect the player's intellect, discipline and strength stats for their Exotic armor pieces. Luckily, Bungie stated that they have re-tooled the Exotic pieces in "Destiny: The Taken King" and they will likley find out when the game is released on September.


Bungie aslo revealed the Year One Exotic weapons and armors that have been retained and can be upgraded during Year Two.

Primary Weapons: Bad Juju, Hawkmoon, Monte Carlo, Last Word, Suros Regime and Red Death.

Special Weapons: Invective and The 4th Horseman.

Heavy Weapons: Thunderlord and Truth.

Armor: Obsidian Mind, Voidfang Vestments and Light Beyon Nemesis.

Bungie also listed the weapons, gears and armors not included in Year Two such as Hardlight, Necrochasm, Icebreaker, Thorn, Universal Remote, Vex Mythoclast, Super Good Advice and Gjallarhorn.

"Destiny: The Taken King" will be release on Sept. 15, 2015 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
