Bieber's musical career has been silent for more than a year and it has been two years since his world tour wrapped up. What people remember about him now are his party going, arrests, and other tabloid headlines. But on his comeback at the festival, he proved that there's more to what the press is saying about him.
With his new song "What Do You Mean" to be released on Aug. 28, Bieber's electrifying seven-set performance is a glimpse of what you can expect from him in the coming months.
The singer asked the fans if they want to hear some new music. Everybody screamed yes but he said, “Well too bad, because I'm playing an old song.” He then sang “As Long As You Love Me” from his 2010 album “My Worlds.” He didn’t sing any new songs but instead allowed his fans to recall how great his hits were coupled with slick dance moves and impressive vocals.
Bieber kicked off his performance with “Boyfriend” then followed it with “Beauty and the Beat.” He also told the crowd, “Man, I’ve missed you so much. It’s so good to be back on this stage.”
He also sang some acoustic, strip down version of his songs “Hold Tight,” “All That Matters,” and “Be Alright.” It was undeniable that his vocals sounded better than ever and fans fell in love with him all over again.
