Aspiring model and actress Lily-Rose Depp opened up about her sexual orientation via Instagram. The 16-year-old daughter of actor Johnny Depp revealed to her fans that she is not heterosexual. She featured in a campaign on the LGBTQA spectrum that was unveiled on Sunday.

The daughter of "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor and his former partner Vanessa Paradis, made the brave revelation through a new campaign, Mirror UK reported. It comes close on the heels of model-turned-actress Cara Delevingne who came out about her sexual orientation in an interview with Vogue earlier this year.

The campaign titled "Self-Evident Truths" is a photography project created by artist iO Tillett Wright. It shares images of Americans who fall under the category.

Through the campaign, Wright is hoping to identify people in US who are not 100 per cent heterosexual. He already has 9,958 portraits and he intends to photograph 10,000 people more.

Wright posted a picture of Lily-Rose and said that he was very proud of her, as the Chanel eyewear brand ambassador was following in the footsteps of other models including Delevigne, "Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart, and singer Miley Cyrus.

The artist shared the picture of Depp and praised her for coming out openly about her sexuality, with the hashtags 'proud uncle' and 'we are you'.

This campaign comes at an important time for LGBTQ community as the same sex marriage has been legalized in the US.

Earlier Victoria's Secret angel Stella Maxwell, 24, posted two photographs of both her and Lily-Rose getting cosy on the former's Instagram. This was following a shoot for Love magazine that both the girls featured in. The British beauty and the teen are good friends, but the shot caused widespread confusion amongst their fans.

Maxwell has been linked to Miley Cyrus and both of them have been pictured together several times.
