Lenovo Releases A7000 Turbo Mid-Range Smartphone in India

Lenovo has unveiled several devices at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

Chinese tech giant Lenovo has launched its A7000 Turbo mid-range smartphone in India, with a price tag of about $165.

In terms of the specs, the Lenovo A7000 Turbo handset is very similar to the Lenovo K3 Note that was launched last year, but comes with a different name and a slightly different price tag.

The Lenovo A7000 Turbo sports a 5.5-inch LCD display screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, and runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop version operating system along with the Vibe UI 2.0 skin on top.

In terms of the camera, the smartphone has a 13 megapixel unit on the back and a 5 megapixel shooter on the front.

Inside, the A7000 Turbo packs a MediaTek MT6752 processor, 2GB of RAM, up to 16GB of built-in memory storage (expandable via microSD card), and a 2,900 mAh battery. Other specs include dual SIM functionality and support for LTE connectivity.

Meanwhile, the Chinese manufacturer recently unveiled the Lenovo K4 Note, which is expected to go one sale in India on Jan. 19. In comparison with its predecessor, the K4 Note sports the same 5.5-inch screen with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution, and packs a Mediatek MT6753 chipset, 3GB RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and a larger 3,300 mAh battery.

According to GSM Arena, this device is already available for purchase in Saudi Arabia, for around $240.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016, the company also unveiled a new 14-inch laptop-tablet hybrid, called the ThinkPad X1 Yoga, which is expected to be available sometime next month at $899 and $1,000.
