Last season in the Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A, Geuvario netted five goals and made three assists. The Brazilian striker is currently one of the most important players of the team, which has nursed the likes of Neymar and the legendary Pele.

Recently, Tianjin Quanjian made headlines after signing Chinese Super League side Liaoning Hongyu's goalkeeper Zhang Lu in a reported 70 million yuan (US$10.65 million) deal, setting a new domestic player transfer record.

The club also secured the services of striker Sun Ke for a reported US$10 million contract.

The club has a clear goal of winning the China League One title and advancing to the CSL.

"On importing prominent foreign players, we will spare no effort," said Tianjin Quanjian FC general manager.

Tianjin Quanjian was formerly called Tianjin Songjiang FC before it was bought by the Quanjian Natural Medicine Group last year. The team finished ninth in the 16-team Chinese League One in 2015. The team is based in Tianjin and is currently being managed by Brazilian coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo.

The club have also been very active in enticing and acquiring high profile Brazilian football players from the Brazilian Championship Serie A.

Tianjin Quanjian found successes in persuading Brazilian midfielder Jadson to move to China in December with a US$5.4 million offer. The club also signed Luis Fabiano from Sao Paulo in the same month.
