Carlos Gilberto Nascimento Silva (popularly known as Gil) has made five appearances for the Selecao and played for the Brazil national team in 2014 against Colombia and Ecuador.

Gil was an integral member of the Corinthians squad that claimed the Brazilian league title last season.  The 28-year-old football player has been capped five times for Brazil since making his international debut in 2014.

In the recent months, Shandong had found success in acquiring the midfielder Diego Tardelli.

Gil's teammates, former AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato, midfielder Elias and goalkeeper Cassio have all turned down offers to leave Timao.

Pato rejected Tianjin Quanjian's offer in hopes of a European comeback, while Cassio expressed his satisfaction staying with the club.

Shandong Luneng is a Chinese professional football club that currently competes in the highest tier of Chinese football, the Chinese Super League.

Their home stadium is the Jinan Olympic Sports Center Stadium and it can accommodate a crowd capacity of over 56,000.  The club is based in Jinan, Shandong

They are called the Orange Fighters and the side is currently under the watch of former Brazil manager Mano Menezes.

Midfielder Jadson and Luis Fabiano moved to the China League One outfit Tianjin Quanjian, which is currently being coached by Vanderlei Luxemburgo.
