Basketball News: Former NBA Player Michael Beasley Erupts with 63 Points in CBA All-Star Game

Former NBA player Michael Beasley scored an awe-inspiring 63 points in the 2016 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league's All-Star game.

Beasley, who had a short 24-game stint with the Miami Heat in the remainder of the last season of the NBA, posted an impressive triple-double performance of 63 big points, 19 rebounds and 13 assists in a gathering of all the most popular basketball players in the league, leading Team North to a slamming 172-145 win against Team South.

Beasley claimed his second CBA All-Star Game MVP honor for the amazing basketball skills that he displayed during the game.  At the same time, he broke his own old record of 59 points in the last 2015 All-Star Game.

"My teammate helped me a lot on the court," said Beasley. "I really enjoyed the game tonight."

According to CBS Sports, Beasley continued his basketball career by signing with the Shandong Golden Stars of the CBA in September last year and has averaged 31.5 points per game for the club.

Shandong currently sits on the fifth place in the ongoing season of the league with a 22 wins and 8 losses.

In the 2014/15 NBA season, the former Wildcats star averaged 13.8 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.3 assists, shooting 45 percent from the field and with a 75.9 shooting accuracy form the foul line, according to the league's official website.

Beasley is the 2008 NBA draft 2nd overall pick selected by the Miami Heat. He played college basketball for Kansas State University for one year before declaring for the NBA draft. He was a member of the 2009 NBA All-Rookie First Team.

Beasley previously played for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2010 to 2012. He had a short stint with the Phoenix Suns before he was waived by the team in 2013 and returned back to the Miami Heat.
