Oculus VR Reveals Rift-Ready PC Bundles for Preorder on Feb. 16

Oculus has unveiled some Oculus Ready rigs which are bundled with the VR (virtual reality) headset. The PC units are from Alienware, Asus and Dell. They have all been tested with the Oculus Rift. These bundles cost at least $1,499 for a limited time with the price range extending to over $3,000.

Customers are encouraged to by the Oculus Rift and PC bundle for a discounted prices because if not bundled, the VR headset costs $599 and a PC, which is capable of providing a smooth VR experience, can also cost a lot. Aside from the VR headset and PC, the bundle also comes with a remote, sensor, Xbox One controller and two free games: Lucky's Tale and EVE: Valkyrie Founder's Pack.

VR fans can build their own rigs. However, it is important to keep in mind that the recommended computer specs are at the very least: an AMD 290 or Nvidia GTX 970, 8 GB of RAM, an Intel i5-4590 and an updated Windows 7 SP1 OS.

Microsoft Store, Amazon and Best Buy will start accepting Oculus Ready bundle preorders on Feb. 16, while the Oculus Rift will be out in stores on Mar. 28. According to Amazon and Best Buy, the bundles could be shipped starting April 23.
