The Apple iPad Mini 4 replaced the iPad Mini 3 in September 2014 and Best Buy is now selling the older version for only $300. The Best Buy listing shows that the Wi-Fi only iPad Mini 3 with 128 GB storage now costs just $300 with free shipping, while the iPad Mini 3 with 128 GB storage and cellular support now costs $429. The retail giant sells the iPad Mini 3 in silver and space gray colors in its retail and online stores.

The iPad Mini 3's specs are similar to that of the iPad Mini 2, but the newer version has a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. It was released with the iOS 8.1, but now runs on the latest iOS 9.2. Its successor, the iPad Mini 4, is slimmer than the iPad Mini 3 with an updated Apple A8 chipset and 2 GB of RAM. In terms of camera, the successor features an 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front one.

The iPad Mini 3 has a sturdy and premium design including a 7.9-inch screen with 1536 x 2048 pixels resolution. It also sports an Apple A7 SoC and a dual-core processor which is clocked at 1.3 GHz and Power VR G6430 graphics. The tablet comes with 1 GB of RAM, 5 MP rear camera and 1.2 MP front snapper as well.

The iPad Mini 4 is optimized to perform just like the iPad Mini 3, but with an 802.11ac Wi-F-, Apple SIM support, version 4.2 Bluetooth and integrated barometer. The iPad Mini 4 128 GB Wi-Fi and cellular models currently cost $599 and $729, respectively.
