Apple iPhone 6S vs. Xiaomi Mi 5: Specs, Features and Price Comparison

Xiaomi is making waves in China and although the Chinese company's products are not currently available in the U.S., the brand is still popular all over the world for its value and quality. The Xiaomi Mi 5 is the most affordable smartphone packing the Snapdragon 820. It costs only about $300 USD in China, which is half the price of the LG G5 and Samsung Galaxy S7.

In terms of specs and design, the Xiaomi Mi 5 competes against the Apple iPhone 6S and Samsung Galaxy S7. To help those who are deciding which handset to get this year, below is a comparison between the specs and features of the Apple iPhone 6S and Xiaomi Mi 5.
As mentioned above, the Xiaomi Mi 5 features a Snapdragon 820 processor with 2.15 GHz quad-core chipset and Adreno 530 graphics, while the Apple iPhone 6S sports an Apple A9 dual-core processor clocked at 1.84 GHz. The Mi 5 recorded 142,084 of core on AnTuTu.
The Mi 5 comes with 3 GB of RAM for its 32 GB and 64 GB variants and 4 GB of RAM for its 128 GB model. The iPhone 6S, on the other hand, comes with 2 GB of RAM for its 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB variants. Both smartphones do not support a microSD card slot.
The Xiaomi Mi 5 measures 144.6 x 69.2 x 7.3 mm and comes in white, black, ceramic and gold color options, while the iPhone 6S comes with a 138 x 67.1 x 7.1 mm body in silver, space gray, rose gold and gold variants. The Mi 5 comes with 5.15-inch IPS LCD Screen with full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, while the iPhone 6S' 4.7-inch IPS LCD screen supports 750 x 1334 pixels. The latter's pressure-sensitive display supports 3D Touch, which responds to lighter and harder gestures accordingly.
The Mi 5 sports a 16 MP back camera and 4 MP front shooter, while the iPhone 6S comes with a 12 MP rear camera and 5 MP front snapper. The latter runs iOS 9, while the Mi 5 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with MIUI 7.0 on top. When it comes to batteries, the Xiaomi Mi5 has a 3000 mAh battery, while the iPhone 6S comes with a 1715 mAh battery. The Mi5 price starts at $300 USD while the iPhone 6S price starts at $770 USD.
