Reasons to Buy LG G5: Specs, Features, Price, Release Date and Availability

LG has officially announced that the LG G5 smartphone will feature a modular design which will let users connect different accessories to the device, such as a digital camera, VR headset and DAC module.

The slide out bottom is said to be impressive as it allows users to swap the battery and add third party accessories. The smartphone is the first LG G handset to come with a premium glass and metal design.
The LG G5 is expected to feature a 5.3-inch IPS LCD with Quad HD resolution. It will also have the Always-On feature, which alerts users of SMS and missed calls. The LG G5 will come with a Snapdragon 820 SoC with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of in-built storage. It is one of the first devices to feature this chipset, topping AnTuTu benchmarks with a score of 133,054. LG is expected to also incorporate the new Qualcomm AI tech-Zeroth in the coming months.
The LG G5 will have a microSD card support which allows up to 200 GB of expandable storage, a dual rear camera with 16 MP and 8 MP front-facing camera, Android 6.0 OS, 2800 mAh battery capacity and Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 3G, 4G LTE, NFC, v4.2 Bluetooth connectivity. The 16 MP rear camera is impressive with its 135 degree field view, manual controls and extra camera modes. The phone will come in silver, titan, gold and pink colors.
Reports indicate that the LG G5 will be released in the U.S. through Verizon, T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint. The LG G5 price is reportedly similar to its predecessor's launch price - $599 USD - and it is expected to hit the shelves by April 2016.
