Google Nexus 6P vs. Samsung Galaxy S7: Specs, Features and Price Comparison

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has already been introduced into the market and its high-end features and specs can be put up against the Google Nexus 6P. Below is a comparison between the two impressive rivals to help those who are deciding which new smartphone to purchase.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 is not completely different from its predecessor - it still comes with a premium glass and metal unibody design. It features rounded back, sides and corners just like the Galaxy Note 5, making it easier to grip. The handset sports a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD resolution and 577 ppi. Most notably, the camera does not protrude out anymore.

The Google Nexus 6P, on the other hand, features a new design with a full metal body and black bar back design. It comes with a 5.7-inch AMOLED screen with 2560 x 1440 resolution and 518 ppi.

The Galaxy S7 is powered by a Snapdragon 820 SoC or Exynos 8890 SoC and will come in 4 GB of RAM with 32 GB or 64 GB storage variants. Meanwhile, the Google Nexus 6P is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset with 3 GB of RAM. It is available in 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB of in-built storage options with external storage of up to 200 GB.

The Galaxy S7 has a 3000 mAh battery with wireless charging support, whereas the Nexus 6P comes with a 3450 mAh battery capacity. In terms of cameras, the Galaxy S7 sports a 12 MP rear camera, while the Nexus 6P comes with a 12.3 MP one. Both smartphones are running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but the Galaxy S7 has the latest TouchWiz on top of it.

The 32 GB Samsung Galaxy S7 is priced between $650 USD and $695 USD, while the Google Nexus 6P is priced at $499 USD, 549 USD and $649 USD.
